Aleksei Archer is an accomplished and versatile American actor. Her hometown is New York. However, Guarnaschelli's cooking experience began in the early years of watching her mom try out a variety of recipes in her kitchen while making cookbooks. She started her career with Larry Forgione before working in various Los Angeles, New York and France establishments. Guarnaschelli eventually became the the executive chef of Butter. Guarnaschelli participated in the 2007 Farmers Market Battle, a segment of Food Network's Iron Chef America, where she took on Cat Cora. She also participated in the third place of the season to the winner of The Next Iron Chef, as well as an Iron Chef judge since. In addition, she competed on the Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast episode, but lost the competition. She was a sous-chef for Iron chef Geoffrey Zakarian after the fourth season of The Next Iron Chef. She became host of The Food Network's The Cooking Loft With Alex Guarnaschelli in 2008, and she instructs a small class of students on the best ways to cook classic meals.
